Just saw this site, I think it's pretty new. Extremely easy to use, just type in your city and get a template and menu with (at least in my city) over a dozen nicely detailed historic maps! And you can zoom in to a chosen area and the maps will automatically overlay right on top of it if a map for it is available. Has a slider so you can control the most modern map's transparency, so you can see the positions of older stuff and new stuff in the same map. I'm off to explore, hope it's useful to others!
