Started using a Vaguero recently and noticed I don't really need the pinpoint feature. I have no problem Xing the target when using disc, no matter where the disc is set. I dig a 3" plug and get the target almost every time. Has anyone else found this to be so. Thinking of putting in a toggle switch in place of the red push button so I can go to all metal without thumbing the disc.

You will help the hobby more if you ditch the plug cutting for such shallow targets and use a screwdriver as a probe and lever the coin out of the ground. Have you tried to lay a coin on top of the ground and slide the coil toward it to see when it responds. You may find it does it just off the front edge.
