Had a few hours this morning before I had to start smoking the pork shoulder for supper tonight. Didn't feel like hiking to an older site so I just hung around this one for a while. Not the oldest place around but felt good to have variety for a change. Thanks for looking.

Great hunt as usual! Funny, I just found my first heel plate yesterday and it matches the one you found with the heart (if anyone has any info on these heel plates please post)! I will post it later. The rosette is great too. Pork shoulder? Wgat time do you want me over for dinner??

Ok, now you're talking my language! I'll bring the beer! I'm a bit embarrassed to post my paltry finds from yesterday after seeing these! I was happy to dig my first heel plate ever tho -- it's got the 3 holes and heart like yours, but only about 1-1/2" wide in the center. From a woman's or child's shoe??

Those are some great finds, very interesting hunt. A lot more productive than mine here in Vegas, can only hunt early morning, when the sun comes up at 5:30 its already 100 degrees. Congratulations.
