Recently found a 1915 wheat which I am still attempting to clean. I wasn't even sure it was a penny when I first dug it up it was so full of gunk. The 1909 is Definately a VDB however, the coin is so worn from circulation, it is barely visable. I cannot get a good picture - as it is you need a lupe just to make out the VDB. Still though it is my first VDB.

I'll have to look a little closer under the date but its so worn not sure if I'll see anything
 

Nice find , like those old wheat pennies and a V.D.B way to go and Congrats.
