vdi numbers

my son fisher2 just got a used detector that has a vdi numbering system display
has anyone ever posted the vdi numbers and what they equal in metal
example 23= 14k gold ect (not sure if 23 = anything good)

VDI numbers are a generization only and can differ in locals. It is best to test your F2 on various targets to see where they come in at on your screen. Note that two targets close together may give one reading on one direction and another on the back swing.
