I was at Advance Auto in Stephens City, today. Didn't eat breakfast this morning, got a little hungry working on the car. Got a bag of chips out of a vending machine outside the dealer. I got this in change!!! 1931 Mercury Dime. I showed it to the guy at the counter. He said he didn't think that the machine would take silver coins, so it must have come from the company that fills the machine. Now I want to buy some more snacks.

Nice find, could it have been in the change return from someone that deposited it & the machine didn't take it?

Cheapest thing is a roll of Life Savers, 65 cents, I get back 35 cents in change......may work.

WOW, a merc in circulation? Nice find

People are starting to dump change jars with the slowing economy. Look closely.

I don't think so, I got my 15 cents back, my bag of chips cost 85 cents. I deposited a dollar.

Get a crapload of ones and put them in the machine. Hit the coin return button and see if you get any more silver. I got a couple silver quarters and dimes at school this way.
