I found this in a creek bed in an area in NJ with a strong history of Native Americans including a nearby cave. Area has a lot of limestone. The rock seems to have deep finger tip indentations on both sides of top snd possible finger nail impressions on side. I am not an expert on these things but it seems very unique.. Would love any thoughts on what it is.

That is a cool piece. Very interesting character. Off hand I'd say you have a water worn fossil, the pattern on the one side of the stone, on its host rock. The layering seen in the side view as well as the apparent sedimentary host rock is pretty close to what I'd expect to see. I've no idea of anything else that would be that geometric other than a fossil of some type.
