Another from the auction box, I’m suspicious it’s real because it looks like something I’d make when I was first learning to knap. Any thoughts welcome if it’s real any info would be helpful having fun trying to figure out where these came from

I've had the idea that there were the novice flint knapper and others who were producers of extraordinary blades made of the finer materials, who would produce them for trade, rather than be a game getter.
 

At some sites I've found things made well out of good material, then come across something in the same context made out of the crappiest material you could imagine. No way it would be good for anything. I thought maybe that's where they were teaching someone how to knap, so they let them work on some easy to work local material, just to get the technique down.
 

Thanks guys, definitely a good point not everyone was great at making stone tools.
