Hi,

My 9 year old daughter and I just started md'ing. My wife refers to us as 'gophers'. I need a decent pin pointer so we can stop trashing our lawn and feel good about venturing out to parks, schools, etc. Does anyone use a vibra -point 570? What is the depth these will read? I just need a decent pinponter that will last. I'm not going to spend $250 on the pinpointer.....yet ...need a few 'wins' and a competent daughter running her own stuff. Then I'll get a 2nd set of everything.

Hi, I love my Vibra-probe 570. It took me some time getting use to it because I was used to my Whites Bulleye 11. Now that I know how to use it I wouldn't use any other kind. It is also waterproof. It can get as deep as about 2 inches on top of the ground.

hh,
Pepper

I also like my 570. It's supposed to be good for a couple of inches or so but, that's enough. My only complaint is that it is quite long and sometimes when I kneel-sit to dig it wants to kind of slip out of it's holster but, it hasn't yet.

Pinpointers are a great asset. Wouldn't go without it. Great investment.
