Someone had tossed out a bunch of old forks and knives last night so me being a scavenger picked them up and brought them home. I finally got around to looking through them today. They turned out to all be plated brass except for one which was really nice sterling silver. It is a 116 year old sterling butter knife made by Gorham. It has a lion's head on it and I just really like it. Weights exactly 30 grams.

The PAT. Date of 1898 is NOT the date it was made. :dontknow: You may want to research the monogram to see who it belonged to and maybe should get a date that way. :icon_scratch: You can find out when they made that design and sold them too, its really hard to get the exact date of pieces like this without a date letter. Still silver and a silver blade (That's a plus) old but not 116 years, so that's awesome !! :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:
