Man it was cold today half hour into the hunt my fingers were numb and I was warring heavy gloves checked out an old school yard today I'm surprised I found anything here it was just littered with caps, pull tabs, foil my head was ringing like a pin ball machine when I come back to this place I will bring my small coil.. Cool ring. I got a late start today (11:30). Hit WP by tennis courts and snagged an 1881 indian head, a small eagle button and some clad

those rings were given out in the 50's by the Hartford Fire Insurance company. I would imagine they went to schools and tried to teach kids fire safety practices

You're just going to have to dig some of the trash to make sure it isn't masking any goodies. Congrats on the cool ring. :occasion14:

Great find, PP, I found one last year...squished but readable, at a 1950's school too! Yours is in great shape, enamel and all. Sub 8-)

Nice ring PP! It will warm up in a few weeks, hang in there. We are making hot weather in the South, and sending it up your way!

There is a marble forum too. If you take pictures from multiple angles. The members will tell you who made it and when. I like to find marbles, and have them ID'd.
