They sure knew how to make good use out of the rocks in your area. Is it quartzite?

That Kirk is really nice, a great example of the type, great size and all there! Quartz too!

All found on river shoreline, with the exception of the occasional quartz piece, nearly everything I find in this area is quartzite, not nearly as nice a material as most stuff posted here, but good for me cause it holds up over many years tumbling around in the sand, that kirk was first piece I found, just a tiny bit showing in the mud, can't believe it was whole, so nicely proportioned, I'll be toting it in my pocket for awhile yet to come
