Alright. So there was no gold, however the sterling was half off! The large piece is taxco sterling. The dog is designer signed sell for $50-75. The cat one is $80-100. The flower $20. The pistol one maybe $20. The star and moon, maybe 20. So for a $32 purchase not to bad. All the jewelry is designer signed.

I'm curious about where your sell prices are from. I also see the large piece is marked $34.99 & you said prices were at scrap value. That piece doesn't seem big enough to have $35 melt value.

Sell for higher. I sold earrings last week for $245. The scrap weight was 13 grams.

I understand that designer branded jewelry can sell for much more than melt. I'm always looking for new items I can make a profit from. I would have passed on any of those pieces that were priced more than 50% of melt. Just trying to learn what to look for & where to find prices.

The larger sterling brooch is 33 grams and they were half off of sticker. That thing sat in their display case for 3 months priced at $35. But I have a buyer online who only wants sterling taxco brand stuff. I may only make $30 but it keeps her comming back for the better items. I understand what your saying though. Alot of times the same store will have 14k gold jewelry always under spot. There ATM only will let you take out $200 so they never go over that price mark. At least once a month I can get a 7 to 8 gram ring for $185 of 14k. The one time was a 18k necklace and pendant with diamond for $165, melt was $240. Not sure who prices them but I live whoever It is!! :)

My husband went yesterday to the same store. The girl must think he's cute! She told him to wait to buy the gold til Saturday. All the red tagged jewelry will be half off. All the red tagged is 14k. She also said we are the only two that have been buying out of the case for the last 3 months. Sounds good to me!
