Had to get out for a few hours scouting for thawed ground, Hit a park in Arlington and swung at the tot lot. Nothing but clad still good to get the air.

I fixed my Dryer this morning then went out to hunt in a long sleeve shirt, nice sunny.....Cold winds 3 lonely memorials and was just not feeling it so I went home.
Hope everyone had a nice holiday ! Went out today, was close to sixty degrees here. Belmont park thru the tot lot and around the basketball court. Just cherry picked 2.82 in clad then off to the Doctors. Fresh air and exercise was good. The weather is backpedling this week Rain/sleet next 4 days Crap!
Finally bit the bullet and ordered a 5x8 DD coil and coil cover for the AT/Pro also a Lesche 36 ground shark shovel from MetalDetector.com will pick it up tomorrow in Southborough. I got a coupon online for 5 off and they beat Amazon easily, but being just down rt 9 was the major factor in my decision. Hopefully the weather will turn around soon and I'll be able to try them out.
Ran out this morning and dumped yesterdays rejects, flew out to Southboro MetalDetectors.Com and picked up a 5x8 coil, coil cover, and a leasche ground shark digger. Met Bill Ladd of Digfellas from youtube there. Gave me a few pointers and really recommended that 5x8 coil. On the way back picked a few teller trays 4.00 in all halves all skunks. Tried the 5x8 before the rain and sleet started was impressed with the coil. Got around 1.50 in change before a call from my bank to pick up a box of halves. Now if Spring comes I'm ready !!
Thanks to everyone at MetalDetectors.Com for the help and smooth sale !!
Put in 5 hours swinging the new coil, what a difference in target separation. Started at Lone Tree hill got a good hike in and found a religious medal, and some old half hinges. Left there and went to a park I've hit hard before, pulled 2.85 in clad, a corroded compact, a couple of hotwheels, and the usual tabs.
