I was in a need to detect and get some peace and quite from the family,
so I grabbed my metal detector and shovel and off I went to the school.
I started around the basketball court and found about$3.50 in clad, but
wanted something besides clad.
I hit the field and almost immediately I got a good deep penny signal
and dug a plug and out pops a wheatie in my hand, its what I needed.
Anyways I kept going knowing it might be awhile before I get to detect
again and found more clad and then a deep nickel signal, dug my plug
and knew right away it was a nice one, could easily make out the date,
a 1943 war nickel, S mint, shoot yes.
Back to the wheatie, its the oldest one ive ever dug, a 1912, but I can
barely make out the date with my magnifying glass.
Anyways, thanks for looking.
