Quick post. Not much luck getting halves this week, but have a box coming for next week. So, I decided to do $20 in nickels yesterday. Got 2 War nickels in one roll, 1944 S and 1945 S. Only one other Pre-1960, a 1958. Anyways, that was unusual for me to get 2 War nickels in one roll. Might have to go back and see if there are some more at that bank.

According to my spreadsheet, I have found 13 War nickels out of 49,040 coins searched. I have not found a 1944-S or 1945-S. I would say that was an excellent search.

I've got 3 - 1944S and 6 - 1945S, but never two in one roll! I don't even think ever two in one box.

(the only one I have gotten ZERO of in war nickels is the 1944D.)

Not bad! I think I have only gotten two in a roll once (I think they were both '43 S maybe). Of course, I do a lot of bags too. I have gotten 1 '44S and 7 '45S nickels.

And lo and behlold!!!

Only 1 day after saying I have not gotten a 1944D, and it was the only one I was missing, I FOUND one. AMAZING timing. I found THREE war nickels in one box today. And one was that eluvise 1944D. AMazing! Gee ... I haven't found a gold coin yet either! lolol.

Gotcha beat then, I got a gold Kennedy about three weeks ago. Can't wait until gold goes higher.
