Harrisburg, Pa. - In a municipal garage owned by the City of Harrisburg is a pile of lumber that is the remains of the Royal Savage, the flagship of the most-famous traitor in American history, Benedict Arnold.

The Royal Savage was sunk in battle in 1776, salvaged in 1934, and purchased in 1995 by Mayor Stephen Reed for $42,500. The ship was supposed to be displayed in the National Civil War Museum. Reed said the Revolutionary War ship would have been part of a special exhibit.

Hmmmm yet another example of why Government needs to stay out of the salvage business.

They should donate the wood to Washington so some day they can use it in a bonfire to burn worthlessly inflated Fed Notes.

OK, I've got an idea regarding this vessel in distress.

Treasurenet's Captain Marc NEEDS a flagship.

Let's buy it for him.

I think One Dollar would be a reasonable amount.

...and we'll get it out of the garbage pit and away from probable loss by fire or simply rot.

Someone in admin want to forward a letter to that mayor?

We can work out the details of a Tnet community project, online.

What say you?

Great idea. We can fix it up and outfit it with the latest treasure finding technology. Maybe we can even sign up for week long cruises to find treasure. The GPAA takes weeklong trips to find gold, so why not.

We can call it HTS St. Gaudens. (HTS = His Treasure Ship).

What do you think. I'm willing to mail a dollar for it.

ITS ONLY FITTING AND RIGHT THAT TODAYS GOVT OFFICALS AND ARCHIES CAPTAIN THE "TRAITORS" VESSEL :icon_pirat:

arnie thought that govt (the british govt) was the master of it "subjects" much like many of today govt people think that they are the american populations "bosses" rather than our servants.

modern day traitors holding onto a very old traitors vessel * very very dry humor in that indeed.

heck just donate the zinc cents we find to get it -- their worthless anyway
