Can’t believe these were considered “junk” by the dealers.

I know several people where if it isn't Omega, Rolex, Patek, etc. It's considered junk and just not worth the time to care about. IMO Bulova and Hamilton are my two favorite brands because of the recorded history on them. You can find a model name, original price, and year on just about each and every one and they're cheap!

I got literally $100’s in parts and tools. Bags of 100’s Bulova stems, balances, crystals, crowns, hands, mainsprings screws etc. many sell for $10 each. Also got two mainspring winders which are quite expensive. I have parts to fix most of the watches which should take months. Just got 500 free listings on eBay so this week will be listing items for auction. Not many repairs. If anyone needs Bulova parts PM me first.

Boy your on a roll with vintage watches. I managed to score a Lady 14K Longines WW on my trek across Nebraska and Iowa I got home from last night. It wasn't marked on the back, but I was able to thumbnail it open in the little town antique shop and see it's well worth the 12 bucks they wanted. It needs a crown and stem, but it's in remarkable outward condition for it's age.

I’m having a little trouble with the rest of the watches but I’m making progress on a few. I need to get some parts in to fix them all. Here is an awesome 1970’s Bulova Caravelle with black dial. It’s in a middle of the date change and works great. Luv luv luv this one. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1540784574.386913.jpg . 1948 Bulova Walton. New crystal, second hand and fourth wheel. Got lucky and had all of the parts. Cool original bracelet . ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1540784695.324655.jpg 1950’s Orvin 21 jewel gold filled watch. Just needed a service and new second hand. I learned something new each watch and be honest I’ve ruined quite a few watches in the process. It is extremely frustrating at times but also amazingly rewarding when you get one running again.

Hey Jim,

Did the 21j Waltham with the red accents and/or the Waltham with the grey face and green band go up on the Bay yet? If not, I don’t want to miss ‘em

Thanks!

Sorry but they’re not for sale. I added them to my collection.

Definitely nice finds and great restored pieces! I had just about got out of buying watches for resell but could not resist 4 really nice Seiko's they put out at the local Pawn Shop here, so i put them on layaway. There are several high dollar Coutura's including a Solar Sync Radio along with a Solar Diver. There were 3 more but a friend that works there called dibs on the nicest one of the three. They have more coming out pretty soon, so I will definitely go back to check out them and will likely pick up the other two Seiko's that I did not put on layaway. Seems a gentleman had a big Wrist Watch Collection and due to buying Gold and needing funds for a home remodeling project, he started pawning some of the wrist watches but later decided to sell them to the Pawn Shop. The total of the layaway was $467.01 but two of the Seiko's sell for over $500 each new and these are all new in their' boxes. I can't wait to get them out! Sorry, no pics but if I can, I will post them in a new Thread!
