Got out to the watershed this afternoon and discovered a third early 19th century property marker, that's 2 on one side of the Gunpowder R. and 1 on the other.

Near this marker I found what looks like a cart path and recovered two large brass pieces at separate locations, both were about a foot deep.

Nearby I dug the remains of an articulating ruler.

A musketball was my next relic and then down the other side of the hill to flat land I recovered this flat button and a wiped British copper, no id yet.

Congrats! Great saves! The 2 brass pieces are parts of a broken stirrup - nice!

Thanks fever87! Wow! First stirrup for me. I need to go back and look for the other pieces.

I'm not sure but isn't that shell like brass piece a horse drawn buggy step?
