I got up early Saturday morning, and set off on a grand adventure with TNetters: Smittyman, Todd Lipe & Kurtstuben. We went for a scenic full day tour of SC. A good time was had by all, even though the finds were meager. I managed to find the following:

- (9) Wheaties. I used my favorite Deus program: "Wheatie1".
- Token, No Cash Value on reverse.
- '45 Mercury dime.
- Broken watch part.
- Smallest organ reed I ever found.
- Broken umbrella part... maybe?
- Crush rings for sparkplugs, these sound so good!

On Sunday morning I slipped out alone for a couple of hours around town. Here is what I got:

- (4) Wheaties.
- Marble, motor oil color w/ light blue flecks.
- Great Seal button.
- Piece of a bracelet (Doubt it is silver).
- Copper flower, plated a long time ago.
- Army Coast Defense pin. WW2 vintage. (Thanks for the ID Scrappy)
- Sterling ring with heart shaped "ruby". As soon as I saw it, I knew it was old and silver, you can see how tarnished it looked.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Not looking too shabby at all Tom, the ring is a hunt saver right there liking the look. I don't recall ever seeing a reed ever being so small, that's a cool find. I see the larger ring been from a spark plug, but the smaller one looks like a solid ring of brass.

Nice looking ring, looks like it has a bit of age and weight to it.

Nice digs CT love the little girls ring that's 2 weekend weekends in a row. Just one question though has the Charlotte Silver Mafia dug all the NC silver and now has its sights set on SC.?

That SC silver is sweeter than the silver in NC!

Actually, On Thursday of last week, Smittyman dug a Walker at the spot we went to hunt... so we were all envisioning pouches full of silver half dollars!

My super secret, "Wheatie1" program, takes advantage of the Deus' infinite flexibility to build a program uniquely suited to finding my favorite coin, the wheat cent! Oh I could find silver coins, hand fulls... if I wanted to. I find it more challenging to try to pick the wheaties out from between the silver coins. Oh I know what you are going to say... that I dug a Merc... well, I had to get it out of the way, so that I could dig the wheatie right next to it!

I am done with the silvers... show me the WHEATIES!

PS: Just let me know if you need help with programing the Deus!

You are more than welcome to them Scrappy! I was disappointed when that ONE showed up this weekend, spoiling my otherwise perfect "Wheat-stravaganza" weekend.

Knowing something about wheat cent futures, and being high are not mutually exclusive!

Heck yeah, Tom! Great ring find. I'd have been pleased with that one Natural Rubies are so much better than the fake stuff.

That ring is extra bright! I think you did better alone than with the other 2. Maybe they are just studying your technique:dontknow:
