Either haven't been out much lately or not much of anything to show. I did manage to get out this weekend though to 3 spots. 1st spot netted me some clad, a pair of folded over sunglasses and a 1916 wheat. 2nd spot got a few more clad coins, 3 more wheats and the 6.9 gram CREED STERLING religious pendant. Front says O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee with 1830 at bottom. Back is stamped CREED STERLING. 3rd spot got me a few more clad coins and a fifth wheat. In all it was a few bucks in clad the 5 wheats and the silver pendant. I sent an email to the manufacturer looking for more info on the pendant but haven't heard anything back yet at this point. Thanks for looking and HH!

What "1830" represents is the date of the vision that inspired the medal: an apparition of the Virgin Mary to Sister (now Saint) Catherine Labouré, in the convent at Rue de Bac, Paris.
Don.........
PS: Its value is the greater of its spot silver value or its aesthetic/religious value.

Thanks for the info. I was able to track down a very good article about it yesterday after your post. Quite informative.

Very nice find. That would make a nice gift if put on a chain for a friend that is Catholic. Great save
