Donald J. Trump, President of the United States
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Dear President Trump,

The West Coast independent gold miners and prospectors have been reaching out to you for assistance to get us back to work in the face of the environmental movements massive push to over regulate us out of existence.

Just the other day you signed 4 more Executive Orders on undoing the Obama administration’s over regulations and at the signing Vice President Pence stated that 130 West Virginia mines had been shut down as a result of those now old regulations. In California thousands of gold claims have be closed to production for 8 years now and there is no relief in sight. Oregon has not only followed California’s bad behavior but also cited it in their attack on mining - even received assistance from California to make it happen! The great state of Idaho has had massive areas closed under the Obama administration’s EPA. Washington State is under attack right now by the environmental movement

Thousands and thousands of gold miners have been forced from their federal mining claims, many business that relied upon the miners being able to work have had to close their doors, some miners have been cited, and even jailed, while trying to exercise their federal mining rights, one even has a case before the US Supreme Court right now!

Sadly many miners have passed waiting to get back to work and even a few died as a result of trying to comply with the over regulations and still be productive on their claims.

We are hard working Americans who once augmented our incomes, fixed income retirees who need to supplement our needs through other than hand outs and fulltime miners who are just trying to scratch out an existence in the rural American West were economic opportunities can be scarce. We are simply asking for reasonable regulations on federal managed public lands.

Weekly you meet with industry leaders, corporations, labor, trade groups, won’t you please find some time to work with the West Coast independent gold miners and prospectors? We look forward to working with you to Make America Great Again and get the miners back to work!
