Hunted a local park found the ususal clad, rabbies tag, junk and 1 wheatie. The clad included about 40 or so pennies that were glued together. It looks as if the glue failed in some spots so I had about 6 clumps of pennies that were glued together. Never found any thing this before. Nice to find that many pennies in one hole though. Maybe a paper penny roll, and the paper decomposed and the pennies are rusted together?

Or somebody could have glued them together to be used as a weapon....striking with the weight of the pennies in hand........not the optimal weapon, but people often do silly things......hard to imagine many good reasons to glue pennies together........

Cool find! ...Just imagine, somewhere, someone may have lost a roll of new 1916 D dimes, uncirculated, in the ground, all these years....just waiting...waiting...

Might be some type of homemade sexton toy. Heard about these types of things before, but never seen one...

I found over 40 pennies in one hole and alot of them were stuck together. I presume it was a penny roll th was lost and I believe that is what you found too.
