Hi folks,
Fi ally put the fishing pole away for a couple days. Got out to one of the spots. Has been a while since I was there. It produced quite a few.

Here are some photos of a fluted argillite triangle, an argillite gnarly point, some shape wading rivers, and finally another quartz stemmed scrapper.

Any input on the larger argillite point would be appreciative.

Thanks,
Chris

The argillite triangle is fluted on one side.

My question is;
Does fluting tell anything about the age of a point.
When does the fluting characteristic show up in the timeline? When does it seem to taper off? If at all.

Is the base on that one ground, how about the sides of it also?

Im not sure, however I do believe so. There is Basel thinning. It's hard to tell. A bit of water erosion. The argillite is super fragile and flaky.

I know the test is to run along your tonge.
Hard to tell on both argillite. The quartz scrapper seems to have a bit of grinding on the stem

If I had to guess on the triangle, I'd say yes. Hard to Knapp that thinning.
