I wasnt hungry so I looked on the internet to find some banks I have never gone to as they are a farther drive than I normally go. Four banks had halves, got 1 roll at one bank, one roll at another, 11 rolls at another and 18 rolls at another. The first one roll produced 3 40% ;D, the second one roll nada :-\, the 11 rolls it looked like was turned in from another roll searcher :(, but the 18 rolls should produce well. I opened one roll and saw it was half silver. I closed the roll back up as I am going to save them for after work, just to let the anticipation build for me this afternoon. HCRH all!!

What a huge bummer. Of the 18 rolls I had left to search, the only one with silver was the one I resealed, and it had 9 40% in it. The roll paper was different than the other 17, so needless to say it came from a different person. I had visions all afternoon of getting over 100 silver halves today. Oh well, the trip was still worth it as I got 12 more 40% halves today.

Better then my box today SKUNKED

My fifteenth and sixteenth boxes of halves this year are documented in yesterday's posted titled Box Dilemma.

Seventeenth box yielded a one percent silver rate (64d (1st 90%er in a few boxes), 67x7, 68d, 69d); so not a total loss.

Eighteenth box produced zero; except an '04 Michigan quarter was squeezed into a roll of twenty halves. And the teller had saved a Ike dollar for me. ;D

Again, interesting the things you find in rolls...............

The quest continues

Went to about half a dozen banks over lunch today (25 Jan). All tolled they only had $4.50 in loose halves; but one was a nice 69D. One out of nine; I'll take those odds anytime I pick up a full box.

One of the banks, while no halves, did sell me 65 Ikes !

Not a bad lunch.

Nineteeth box only produced four 40%ers (65, 55, 68Dx2) and an 02P........but also gave me my first '87; a P !!

Went to a bank off the beaten path and they only had $216 in loose halves (they were very glad to get rid off) and three rolls from Delta Downs Racetrack Casino (apparently somewhere in Louisiana).

The three rolls didn't produce anything, but the $216 in loose halves gave up a Franklin I was still missing (54S), a 64P Kennedy, a 66, 67x5, 68Dx9 and a 69D. I'll have to off the beaten path more often. :)

Also, four loose halves from another bank produced a 64P. I really like those percentages !

Twentieth box of the year (month), from my usual source, coughed up another Franklin (54D), 64Px2, 64D, 65, 67x3, 69D and an 02D.

Also got a 51S nickel in change.

Pretty good Thursday night / Friday if you ask me.

Happy CRHing all...............
