Ive been interested in arrowheads for a long time, and when I lived in Texas most of the ones I found were definataly flint(bright and shiny) I had cigar box full of chips and pieces cause when I would find them they would be all in a grouped area. Now I live in NC and the material as the one I posted in the precious picture is totally differant and I dont see that many chippings in one area.

It's called rhyolite and the points aren't nearly as jewel-like as the ones from out west. Most of my locals points are tan or quartz and are almost crude compared to the flint and agate and jasper of the western states.
