What A Find !!

I Haven't been out hunting for a while, I figured I'd try one of the new sites I've found,
only searched a 3 X 15 foot area, great finds everywhere, military buttons, pocketknives, i can't remember them all,
THEN, I turn a shovelful, And staring back at me is the biggest gold coin I've ever seen !!

Just the cellphone pix for now, can't make out any markings.

Gilt or electroplated? If the latter, then has to be after 1890. If gilt, then possibly before. Be sure to clean with acetone only! I await the new pics ... with ... an ... ti ... cipation (with apologies to Rocky Horror and Tim Curry).
