Done gone and done it :D
I bought my first MD recently, at least two very rainy weekends ago - and the one just past was finally, fine enough for me to try my luck.
I took two plastic bags with me - one for trash and one for treasure
strangely, they all ended up in the 'treasure' bag
Cheers, Mike

Well welcome aboard! I think it's a wonderful idea for you to keep all of your "first time out treasures" in a bag so sometime in the future you can look back and remember how it felt to begin...

For your first try, it's a good variety of finds. The heart pendant is nice. Certainly is better than my first finds. ::)

Thanks everyone
I look forward to posting many more and much better ;D
Unfortunately the heart pendant is only copper and glass - next time the real thing 8)

Cheers, Mike

Invest in a finds pouch or market stall pouch with zips ($5). One day the bag will spit & your lose your best item. I know.

Best of luck in the future.

Cheers again everyone,
One of the Beauties I've found of this TN community, is all that encouragement given.

Murray, mate - I didn't even pick that! backwards does sound so Aussie.

An Aussie on here (you?) said get Minelab and stay local - so I did - one Sovereign GT was the only md left in the local dealers - so I did
and have not regretted it

ironically the small dark spot in the main pic, to the lower left of the 'diamond' pendant, is a 1997 Aussie 5 cent piece
