It doesn't draw a magnet.

Meteorites are almost all iron. They jump at magnets. They are very heavy compared to rocks of similar size. Like lifting a dumbell at the gym.
For those concidering hunting meteorites, a trip to a shop that sells them will save time wondering. I've seen small ones for as little as 10 bucks. Or Mama's Minerals on line. I know she has them in her store. BTW, it's also a great site. No, I have no connection ~(.)(.)~
