Nothing makes a guy forget about work like a good day of detecting! I'm taking Friday off so I'm gonna have Friday, Saturday and Sunday to dig...I can't wait.

Nice job on the finds!

LOL I agree! Tomorrow is the last free day at state parks in my area and I'm going to take advantage of it.

Could almost always count on the grove to help release the stress of work. Congrats on the silver! The Junior Clipper Captain badge is cool. Nice shot of the one room schoolhouse.

I believe that is the first pin like that I have seen posted here. Has to be my favorite, even more than the silver. I am sure it was some kid's most valuable possession at one time. Nice job.

Yeah I like that thing too, I gotta look it up to see how old it is, im guessing 50s. That bent up merc was the deepest coin ive dug there, an inch shy of the entire length of my pinpointer, that one was a lot of fun, I love the iffy challenging ones!

Thanks Dave, that rang in solid pulltab signal, and probly only got it because I said to myself dig everything and anything repeatable:thumbsup:heres a better pic of it 20150521_061519-1.jpg

Doesn't take much, does it. Not unless one is just doing it for profit.

One, pretty silver coin and all is right with the world.
Love that Junior Clipper badge!
Good job!

Thanks tom!, that one did alot for my mood, sounds wierd but I feel like I had to "earn" that one due to its depth, wierd choppy tone, and the tough digging
completely wiped out my bad mood from work lol!

Ya know, I was just in a funk, a crap mood from 3 hectic days at work, I needed to get out, and not just out, out to a spot thay makes you work for the goods and when they show up its such a good feeling, kinda like melting the stress away, chicks go to spas, I dig holes........

and couldn't be happier!

Thanks again!

I do enjoy going to places that are hunted out. Where I know that there's more involved than just pure luck in the finding of something worthwhile. Kind of makes all the working to learn one's machine just a little more palatable. Anyone can wander around and blunder onto a good find that any machine might find. It's quite another to know that you heard and interpreted something most miss. Even my little dime find last time was more enjoyable because it was not only a hunted out area, well known, but extremely trashy! And, still, I heard that little silver blip from in-between several pieces of junk. I always check the hole after a recovery, of course. But, I ALSO check the immediate area to see why others might have missed what I'd found.

Anyway, good finds!
