What did the Dutchman look like

Curious as to the physical stature of miners back then and the dutchman
Was he far sighted …near sighted?
Does this have to do with four peaks looking like one?
Did he use a shotgun… or rifle?
At his home in Phx… what gun did he have?
How tall? how small was his mine entrance?
He widened it.. then covered it up
Any info would be great

I believe you have an ulterior motive for these questions, but I like the logic you are using to request them.

Nearsightedness (the most common vision problem) was notably rare in the past.

Single-shot percussion pistol holstered on the hip.
My logic would be that a Miner was not looking to hunt food, but protecting himself from close contact assault.
He would try to limit the weight of his grub stake on his Burro.

Maybe another question may be?...Why was a Dutchman prospector searching in Arizona...so far from home?
