Can't read anything in front of my nose without glasses, but can spot a penny under a car all the way across the Walmart parking lot. Own 17 tape measures but can't find one when I need it, but can find coins & nuggets in the ground? What would you call that other than messed up?

I avoid "Treasure Hunter" 'cause even to me that evokes images of Ben Gunn and maybe the Unibomber less the explosives (or at least someone a few clowns short of a circus).

I'm primarily looking for coins, preferably old ones, so I just go with "coin shooter" to those who I expect know a metal detector from a Geiger counter or "detectorist" to those who I believe have no clue what I'm up to.
