OMG ! All that Latin !

Sounds too dangerous for the likes of me !

I'll never get off the boat again!

If they don't got it at the Circle K or AM/PM or 7 / 11, I don't need it !

Well, I do like the King...

Great post, LBAL, and lots of talent here. You bead very well. We generally call it 'gourd stitch' now, out of deference to the church folks. I learned a lot about that type of work first hand from Kiowa and Comanche beadworkers. I have seen those ladies sit there and 'size' the beads so they would all be the same. Nowadays, they come pretty uniform. You should look into the Comanche brick stitch and see what you can do with that.

It might be possible to learn new tricks... I hope!

I bartered for a little Craftsman lathe, in general disrepair, and incomplete.
It took a bit to get it operational, marginally, but I did it !

This was a scrap of 2x6 redwood I had used on top of the jack when lifting the truck.
Now it is a 'bead bowl.'

I never saw a bead bowl before, which was fine, because I never really tried to turn anything on a wood lathe before!

It must be a pretty good one... It got me a nice supper !

Now I got my first custom order... a bigger one . ::)

That is really interesting TT...

So do you stabilize them with epoxy before you do your work upon them?

I hope to get involved in a lesser bit of painting soon, and I will topcoat either with water based poly
or some epoxy. Probably epoxy only if I do a good job ! Great stuff, but expensive !

Best

A boat load of talent we have here! Congrats to all for your great work!

Here are some of the things I get into. I tried to get a bunch of stuff into one pic, to many things I like to do.

Painting, but mostly working with stones and bones. I try as many things as I have an interest in. Knives, jewelry, carving, woodburning, cabochons, etc.

Hello Luck,

What a question? Lots of talent. TerryC and I turned 60 yesterday, So I finished this fishing rod for him today. I will be delivering it next week when I drive out to CA. I've been making them for over 30 years. Now, look at this one. We were both in the Marine Corps so the proper colors. We are both ham radio operators so the handle wrap is his initials in Morse code. (TTC)

It's amazing what the t-net posters can do.

(Ace250, very impressive work )
