I got 2 shelves filled up and got 3 more to go. Post your cave photos here. Looking forward to seeing some good stuff.
These are my favorite artifacts. I got others oh and yes there are some rocks. I like to keep some of the rocks I find from all of my hunting grounds.

Hi Steve. I hope you don't mind my using your pic, but I have a question about a piece. The piece that I have an arrow pointed at, what is it, and how do you know it has been worked? I know it has been altered by man, I just can't see it. Don't know if it is me or the pic. Thanks bro. Have a nice day!

I support an answer is impossible with no arrow or pic huh? Let's see if it'll upload this time.

It did it that time! I had to put my business face on.

That is a Pestle. It has pecking all along the side that you can see, the lighter area, and along the other side as well. It is flat on the bottom with a slight dimple in the bottom. It's not a real nice one, but it was definitely used as a Pestle.

Time killer. You have some grade A stuff! You weren't one of the guys down there that helped pull Black Beard's anchor up, were you?

Have you actually seen it? I have only seen the picture on the net. It would freak me out to pull any such up. Spooky looking to begin with, then to find out who's it was!

Nice Matt ...I know a fine archaeological reference library when I see one.

I'm more proud of my reference material than the artifacts. If I had the money (and place to store it), a friend of mine has the late Robert Bell's library and notes for sale. It's stored in 40 large boxes in his father's garage right now. Bell was the one who excavated Spiro Mounds, co-wrote the typology guides with Perino and was involved in many other important archaeological stuff. It would be superb to see it go to an institution or place where the public could have access to it.
