What is a good detecter that works well in wet sand??? beaches!!

Check the Minelab models.
The excals and the GT seem to get great reviews in the environment you describe.

Most detectors will have trouble in the wet sand. The ones that do well there are the Pulse Induction jobbies and the Minelabs like the Sovereign GT and Excals. This is because of the many frequencies. Course the amount of black sand can even make these instruments act funny at times.
