I saw a arrowhead that was being used as an avatar & it looked a lot like one that I found this summer. I know nothing about this stuff so I am hoping that there is someone out there that can tell me a little about it. It was found in Southern Utah next to our cabin.

It's a nice point, but I'm not up on my topology from that area. I've seen some resharpened Pinto Basins from further north look like that, but I don't think that's what that piece is.

Thanks for the info Thrifty7, I know nothing about this stuff. I will have to do some research even to understand what the 6000 to 1300 B P stands for.

Still don't know what bp stands for but if it is a humbolt it would date from 3000 bc to ad 700 could date back to the pre mazama eruption 5000 bc.

Nice find. Old. I doubt you will find much in the states with your metal detector that is that old unless you count meteorites . Nice one.
