Mexican 8 Reales dated 1835, the rest of the information will tell you the mint and I believe moneyer and such. Although I'm far from an expert when it comes to these early coins.
Prior to the civil war these Spanish/Mexican coins would have circulated and were legal tender, the 8 reales would be equal to a silver dollar.
The mint city is Guanajuato ("G" with a small 'o' inside the 'G'). 27 grams; Silver 0.79 oz. ASW; the assayer is "PJ"
the (retail) Guide I use shows $15 in F; $20 in VF.
