I'm not sure of the material, feels like wood, hubby isn't sure, either.

This thing is 22" tall & 11" diameter. Imbedded on the bottom, is a stamp :
United Industrial Fibre Co. Lockport, N.Y.
Patented dates : Feb 1882 - Oct 1883 - Feb 1884 - June 1885 - May 1886
Nothing more after that.

Using key words industrial fibre I found a similar thing on eBay... With flag lilies painted on it.. My question is what is it?! The lady I bought it from (locally) was at the same auction I was at and bought this and listed it on Facebook and I did some quick hunting and seen the other listed at $220 so I jumped on this for $22.. On the total blind... No clue what it is.. Or anything about it.

I think it says "INDURATED" not "INDUSTRIAL". There are some on eBay. Here is one...

Appears the same marking as yours.

Yes after getting this in hand it does say indurated. Haven't had any luck with a value.
