What is the recommended Frequencies for gold hunting, high, low in the middle?

In looking at metal detectors for gold hunting was trying to get some more information on recommended Frequencies. I have seen some machines that are talked about as good gold detectors that have a lower frequency then something like the gold bug 2 that has a much higher frequency.

Example: I just picked 3 machines and compared them from the list at kellyco.

Gold Bug 2: frequency 71 kHz

F75-SE: frequency 8 kHz

X-terra: Gold Pack frequencies • 3kHz • 7.5kHz • 18.75kHz

My plan is only gold hunting in areas that are well off the beat path from anything with this machine.

The higher frequencies tend to pick up gold better, but without discrimination you won't be missing any lead shot or tiny bits of iron either. If the area you are hunting has only BIG nuggets not very deep almost any detector will find those.
