Hey guys! So I found this a while ago at a second Seminole war site (1838-1842) the top of it is very crude and uneven, and it kind of looks like the top to an old bottle, but it's metal. Anyone know what it is?

Here is my guess....Part of a musical instrument. Blow piece for a trumpet or something similar....Just guessing. is it brass?

I think it goes to where the pull cord comes out on a 1970 Toro riding lawn mower

This object would have baffled me a few days ago , but , yesterday my pull cord broke on my Toro . The hardest part was getting the cord through the grommet hole . After burning the end with a lighter and pulling it through with tweezers , I was able to get it through the hole . I guess I now have an intimate relationship with it .

Yeah it's either the motor pull or a really crappy mouthpiece

Mojjax,
How in the hell?! lol. You must have a mind like Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory) or you designed the 1970 Toro riding lawn mower.

Bravo, I would have guessed part of a tire valve stem that had been cut off.
