If I knew today would turn out how it did, I would have gotten started earlier!

Five silvers. Pretty worn, but been awhile since I've amassed that many in a day.

Three cent nickel. Good to see one of these each year. Means you're digging the iffy signals.

Buttons061216.jpgClasp061216.jpg

Couple of buttons and I don't know what but it is gold plated. Ornate clasp to boot.

GiltButton061216.jpgGiltButtonB061216.jpg

Not sure about the gilt button. Military? I'll let the button experts chime in. Hard to make out the back-mark. I think I see Scoville.

Criers061216.jpg

Couple of criers. Semi-key dates. Seen better days.

Amazing collection of finds! Not only would I get there early, I'd pitch a tent and stay there for a few days! Congrats!

GREAT finds! Your button is upside down. I think it's an "S V" on there, for "Sons of Veterans," which was a late 1800s fraternal organization for children of Civil War vets.Cheers,Buck

Thanks BB. Appreciate the info.

WOW. What a day indeed. Was this an old picnic grove or fairgrounds, I know a lot of nice old coins come from those type of places. Congrats.

It was from and old "town square".

You dug yourself some great coinage. Those are some quality finds. Congrats on finding that site.:occasion14:
