Re: What's For Dinner?

I'm nursing a "summer cold."
Having hot chicken bullion infused with fresh garlic as proposed by a dear friend. :coffee2:

Hopefully I will feel better soon and be back to my regular appetite...

Aaaah-CHOO!
Sniffle...

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Thanks Granny! Blessings for You! :icon_sunny:

I am still "under the weather," but I've got cravings for something spicy.
This is usually an indicator of the "road to recovery."

I can make tacos, chili, spaghetti, etc.
I've also got about 6 different kinds of peppers to further my desire of satiating my cravings for "heat"...

Old age and better judgement says that I should make something like potato soup and grilled cheese.
Something easy on my system....

However, since I frequently disregard better judgement and also do childish things,
spicy is winning the option battle. :tongue3:

I've still got a couple of hours or so before the proper dinnertime arises.... :dontknow:

My hunger comes and goes. :-\

One minute I'm ravenous, the next, I don't even want to think of food.... :P

Boy, don't cha all hate bein' sick? :(

Best Wishes,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

OK.
Here's a "radical" idea....
Alcohol is an antiseptic, right?
Well, I'm gonna kill some germs tonight!
(Do I need to explain?)

Just like the "Hot Toddy" that my Dear Grandmother used to make years ago with a little bourbon, some vinegar, some honey and hot water.

MY "toddy" is; Rum. Shots of rum. Lots of rum.
Either it will kill me or it will cure me. :tongue3:

All in the name of "medicinal cures," mind you. :nono:

Bet I finally get a good night's sleep!

"I'll be back!" (I hope....)

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

I'm so embarrassed...
I only had 2 shots from a bottle that I've had for over a year.
It was enough to make me hungry then sleepy.
I'm such a light weight.
Sheesh..

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

I'm still "under the weather."
I'm beginning to think that it has developed into pneumonia.
I called the health department today for an appointment and they said that they will be able to see me.
NEXT MONTH!
I told them that they would be invited to my funeral.

Luckily, I have not lost my appetite; MY medicine prevails....(Rum)

I made some meatloaf, stuffing, sweet yams and tea.
However, I do not feel like eating much, just enough to sustain....

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Aw, Nutz...
I just cooked all of this and now I'm not hungry...
Guess I'll just put it all in the fridge and hope that the microwave
can heat it up while I'm hungry later... :'(

WHAT IS FOR DINNER??? YIKES please feel for your wife/husband/nice child/lover/significant other or whoever as they dig through the garden, store, pantry, refrigerator, freezer one more time trying to figure out what to cook! Sometimes it can be so challenging!

And also having to slave over a stove/oven in all of this heat! :tard:
