You miscalculated by weight. The way you figured it was for .999 silver.

Your 90% is worth about $297.10
Your 40% is worth about $40.49

That's gross profit. If you back out the cost of each coin ($0.50), assuming you picked these up for face, than the net profit for your sixty 90%ers and twenty 40%ers (@13.50) is $292.91.

The best way is by face:

$30 face value 90% x .715 (# ounces of .999 silver in $1 of 90% coin) x 13.5 (price of silver = $289.575

$10 face value 40% x .295 (# ounces of .999 silver in $1 of 40% halves) x 13.5 (price of silver) = $39.825

One thing I didn't notice in your first post is that you were not using troy ounces in your measurement but were using it for the pricing. If your scale can do grams I would use it instead.

31.1g = 1 troy ounce.
