WHAT'S THIS ERROR? ON DIME + HALF DOLLAR, FROM PROOF SET

Not exactly CRH, but
bought some 1962 proof sets cheap - for silver
and got this 2 coins. i know it's not PMD cause i popped it from the set celo myself:

dont know what it is. on the dime at least, it's not just ON the surface, but it is a little deeper and this part is like lower, like it's missing a layer or something.

is captainfwiffo around? lol :laughing9:

Yup, more than likely water. Bought several sets where there was something very similiar to yours. Nickel was a deep dark Blue and marks on the silver, just like yours. They came from a basement that was flooded.

Didn't care though, silver is silver. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:

The Cello isn't air tight nor water tight. Also, I think it can contain PVC which will damage the coins over time. I have a few proof sets still in their original cello, and most of the coins are hazy compared to my other proofs of the same vintage that were broken out in the past.
