Whats this tone mean?

What's this tone mean?

Sometimes I get this tone that sounds like (in between) a record player's needle scratching across a record and the squeel of a small animal being sqished? What is it?

I Like the way you Discribe it

That is the Sovereign's Low Battery alert.

It will get Closer & Closer Together
And all of a sudden Your
Tone will Get real loud
& You won't be able to turn it Down

dead battery or......dont do like me and think your detector is shot,making all knids of noise,,,,just to find out it is the Nextel phone in my pocket ,every time it updates my Excal and GT both go crazy! easy fix....turn off cell phone.LOL!
