Last week I posed the question about whether this park had not been hunted much....well I still think it has not. Here is what I found so far:

Hunt 1: 12 wheaties and 1 merc
Hunt 2: 6 wheaties and I silver Rosie
Hunt 3: 7 more wheaties and FOUR MERCS!!!

Hunt 4 5 more wheaties and 1 merc 3/11

I have only once before found 4 silvers in one day and that was after a storm hit the beach. Here are my mercs.

clad totals over 260 coins

Great going, four silvers in one day. Maybe a key date lurking in that park... Arty

"Fla. Pa. Md." it doesn't matter, no coins are safe when you're around :tongue3: Good deal Debbie :icon_thumright: Your persistence has paid off real well. Four silvers in one day is pretty impressive :notworthy: Congrats, BS

Re: Where there are wheats....hit same park again...

Nice finds and looks like you have found a hotspot.
I have been searching a park on and off since last summer and so far have found 87 wheat pennies, but only 5 silver coins so far.
I have found 4 Indian head cents, a V nickel, and a Buffalo nickel there also.
The V nickel and the Buffalo were in the same hole.
The most silver I have found at this location in one day was 2 dimes.
I haven't given up on it yet as I am still finding wheat pennies.
Keep up the great finds,
Felix

When you get home, try Anna Maria island. On the bay side. Sandspur Beach. Nice little park, if the city still owns it. I picked up a lot of silver coins, 2 sterling rings and 1 18K gold w/emerald ring there. And, I only detected the sand beach for about 100 ft. or so.

Of course, it might have been well detected by now, but as we all know, no place is ever truly "cleaned out". (I think I might have been the first one to detect it. In 1969 and I only went the one time.)
