As all of you hard core MD'ers know, the brain is always in the "detect mode' even when you don't have your earphones on and your trusty detector in hand.
I stopped at a garage sale today that was run by some nice older ladies. I noticed a box with paperclips, drywall screws, and a Standing Liberty half along with some other coins.
"How much for the money?" I jokingly asked.
"Oh, those foreign coins? How about $3?"
"Sounds good to me,"sez I.

Here's the haul.

Besides the 1918 Standing Liberty there was a 1912-D Liberty Head Dime. And the Canadian Dollar and half's.

Made my day!

Holy crap! Nice haul! Other than the American coinage, how many of those foreign jobs are silver?

I wonder if the old ladies will feel "held up" by the evil metal detector dude as they discuss their day over tea and crumpets. Sleep well my little friend...gray wrinkley dreams are coming your way !!!!!!! LOL
