It was just the first generation, I believe... I'm not sure about the serial numbers.. Did you just buy a new one? If so, you should be fine... Also, I may be wrong but I don't thnk there was an actual "recall" on the units.. I think there were some falsing issues that people were having fixed.

Wheres the serial number located on the at pro? If it's on the white tag on the detector which number is it? Thanks

That was about 3 years ago....and Garrett had asked all those on the first batch to send them in for warranty work. The new ones are fine.

It wasn't actually a recall, but some of the units with 500XXXX had a tendency to false when shaken. They fixed them and offered an upgrade at the time - the upgrade extended the length of the shaft, added cam locks, and updated the firmware. As John said, these were first generation, sold in the initial launch back in late 2010.
