hi there
i bought my son a whites 4000 s2 detector it seems to work fine i was just wondering if it is supposed to have that "bell" tone when it detects a coin or good target. i had a 6000 s3 and it did. now the 4000 just has the same flat tone no matter what it detects.
any help is appreciated

Detector(s) used
TDI, DFX, M6, XLT, XL Pro, CM 6000 Di Pro, Beach Hunter ID 300, Beach Hunter ID, Surfmaster P.I.(Plus)
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
The 4000's tone is the same regardless of the target detected. The tone will increase as the loop gets nearer the target, but that's about it.
To download a manual for your detector, follow this link: http://www.whiteselectronics.com/manuals/Coinmaster Manuals/CM 4000 D S2 Instruction Manual.pdf
