the classic three was my first metector. for me, it's been a good one to get started with and for the price i paid, i can't complain. i got mine at a local pawn shop 40 bucks, but i think that's cause the lady didn't know what she had. probably would go for 150-200$ used at a dealer. you will dig absolutely everything with this machine as there is no tone id, but once you learn all the little nuances of the beeps it get's better. the iron on some sites will kill hunting time with this thing. if i could add just one feature to my classic 3, it would be tone id, so i don't spend so much time digging ferrous shrapnel that sounds like something good. i hope some more classic 3 owners will contribute to this as my experience is somewhat limited. good luck and HH

125 is a good deal, rock solid machine, and like mentioned above you will learn the little differances in tonal responces, and disc settings
